Oh Busy Weekend.

So the weekend was a busy one; and it started on Thursday.

Thursday night, after having some minor surgery (they removed a mole) i got home to discover that my cat.. whom i suspected of getting sap all over his poor self; was in fact suffering from massave head trauma due to a bite wound.

I stayed up all night thursday; and called in sick on friday because i was worried; and because i felt sick from the mole removal meds and from the new meds for coughing.. anyways; as soon as Jen got home friday i talked to her about it, and she volunteered to take Guido in to work with her the following morning! yay! So once again i stayed up most of the night watching over my little guy..

After Jen left in the morning, I finally got to sleep; Unfortunately a few hours later i got a call from Jen. Sadly, the vet in the office she works in was off that day; and i needed to pick guido up and find another place. Frantic i pulled out the phone book and looked for a place that was open. After calling and researching a few places, i got an appointment at the Cat clinc of Davis. So i hauled ass down to Woodland where Jen’s office was and picked up the cat. Much to my surprise she had cleaned his head and discovered the small hole in his head. Yes folks; Guido had a wound in his head in the shape of a very sharp fang. He wasnt looking all to happy, and i quickly got him into the carrier and trotted off back to Davis.

The Cat clinic was great! the nurses kept checking up on him and me while we waited for our turn with the doctor. Luckily, Jen’s cleanup job made things go very quickly. We drained the wound more; cleaned it and got some antibiotics for the week ahead.

so now. 3 times daily i need to clean his little ol head, suqeeze any puss back out and apply some antibacterial liquid. Also, twice daily i need to get him to swallow some antibiotic milk, which i squirt into his mouth via syringe. Hes not a very happy camper.
